The Jersey Shore Music Festival will be a one day event that will showcase over 50 of the best local bands here at the Jersey Shore, as well as some of the top national bands. Bands will range anywhere from rock to country bringing everyone together for a great day of music. In addition to being an all day music festival, we will also be showcasing over 200 of the Jersey Shore’s most talented artists, crafters, sculptors, jewelry makers, photographers, clothing designers, and other creative vendors. Also being featured will be some of the areas top restaurants and other businesses such as surf shops and other uniquely themed stores.
Joe Ciano and Tyler Culley founded the Jersey Shore Entertainment Group in December 2011. The pair grew up at the Jersey Shore, spending their summers on the beach listening to some of the best bands the shore has to offer. Jersey Shore Entertainment Group was created with one goal: to bring back the local music scene. What better way to showcase local musical talent than to put on a festival in our own backyard? The Jersey Shore Music Festival is not only about local music; it is also about showcasing all of the local restaurants, craftspeople, and other businesses who call the Jersey Shore their home. We are committed to providing a safe, family environment while providing one of the best days of entertainment the Jersey Shore has to offer. Harrison Promotions and Management is the sole promoter and overseer of The Jersey Shore Music Festival. Owner Cory Pedalino is assisting with regional and national offers, gathering sponsors, talent buying for the main local side stage and overseeing day- to- day operations. Cory was brought in over a year ago and continues to impress with his connections and professionalism. With creator Joe Ciano’s approval, Cory invited Matt Burns (Trendkiller Entertainment) to help with vendors, artists, locals and day- to- day operations. Since the origination of The Jersey Shore Music Festival the team that has been built is growing and we look forward to bringing you a memorable festival. Interlocken is a 4-day music festival at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA. Unique to many Summer Music Festivals, but right in line with the Good Love mission, Interlocken chooses to focus on world class music, local food and sustainability. Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Furthur, Zac Brown, The String Cheese Incident, and The Black Crowes will perform. Many of the artists will be performing at Interlocken over multiple days, and will be featured in unique and exciting artist pairings - with additional artists to be announced soon. Sit ins? Might as well be guaranteed! Shapiro has teamed up with HORDE Festival founder, Dave Frey. With the pedigree of these two producers, Interlocken is set to be one of the country’s most unique and dynamic events. Frey and Shapiro’s sense for innovation and creativity together with the backdrop of this beautiful setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains is certain to make for an unforgettable weekend. Interlocken was named for traditions central to both Frey and Shapiro: The inter-locking performances presented at Wetlands and the continuous uninterrupted music featured between the two stages at HORDE. Interlocken’s conceptual theme will touch all elements of the event: “when something ends, another begins.” This simple yet powerful ethos of sustainability will be integrated into camping, lodging, food, drink, transport offerings as well as specialized onsite activities. “Most festivals these days are trying to be everything to everyone -- very eclectic with an emphasis on a large number of artists in various genres,” says Shapiro. “With Interlocken, we want to break away from that mold and create something more identifiable and distinct.” Interlocken's two main stages will feature full two-hour sets that will run seamlessly from one to the other without breaks between performances, giving the audience a unique and singular experience as the music will be continuous throughout the weekend. The emphasis will be on quality over quantity, as fewer bands will be playing longer sets and many of the featured artists will perform multiple sets on different days. Since both Frey and Shapiro have a strong history of running environmentally conscious organizations, Interlocken will be a particularly green undertaking, utilizing carbon offsetting, locally sourced food, recycling programs and many more initiatives. The festival has engaged a person closely associated with the property who is a local sustainable food provider to help Interlocken source food, beverages and services from the Central Virginia. Good Love is excited about Interlocken. This will be an EXPERIENCE, not just a party, not just a musical showcase. In a summer full of festivals trying to "do it right", all bets are on Interlocken!
Something Electric is bringing Sci-Fi Middle Eastern funk-rock band Consider The Source, based out of NYC, back to Olive's tonight. Frankie Coda, Something Electric co-founder, is extremely excited for tonight. "It doesn't get much more epic than this one", he said with full enthusiasm. He expects the venue to hit full-capacity tonight, so make sure to get there early. One of the most progressive, experimental, downright nasty bands you will ever see is in the midst of a spring tour, however it seems that this band is always touring. For the last several years, the trio has been touring incessantly and building fierce momentum. They have toured the US several times over, as well as the Middle East and Europe. Consider The Source features Gabriel Marin on fretless double-neck guitar, John Ferrara on bass and Nyack Native, Jeff Mann on drums. It seems to be a home-coming bash for Mann every time the band comes back to Olive's. That extra energy, coupled with their signature vibrant rhythmic forces and complex melodic ornamentation, there is no doubt that we are in for a treat. Add a little bit of Good Love...and yes, tonight is sure to blur your senses and take you on a space ship to another world! Diazepam is slated to open the night of ruckus. Again, this event may sell out...Don't be late! Olive's is located on 118 Main St. in Nyack, NY and is a 21+ establishment. Parking can be annoying so make sure to obey all of the signs. There is good, free parking on the side streets parallel to Main St. A couple of blocks of walking are worth it. Doors are at 9pm and show starts at 10pm. The cover for tonight is $8. Facebook Event Here. With the release of their live, 2-disc album/DVD "Tell Your Friends" (Ropeadope Records), Snarky Puppy has gone from an underground secret to one of the most internationally respected names in instrumental music. The 3-time Dallas Observer Music Award winning group ("Best Jazz Act" 2008, 2009, 2010) has, over the last four years of touring, gained a reputation for putting on a live show unparalleled in energy, virtuosity, and musicianship. They seamlessly fuse a deep knowledge and respect for musical tradition with sonic and conceptual innovation in a way that is able to reach the most critical- or most carefree- audience. The Funk Band from Brooklyn AND Texas will be hitting Brooklyn Bowl tonight with Maz, a jazz band from Brooklyn. Doors are at 6pm and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets Found Here.
